Elizabeth is a partner with Morton & Gettys, and practices primarily in the areas of family law and education law. She is an experienced trial lawyer representing clients primarily in the South Carolina Family Courts. Outside of practicing law, Elizabeth has a passion for education and serving her community. She currently serves as the Board Chair for the York School District One Education Foundation, a nonprofit she found in 2019. She volunteers with numerous community youth and family oriented organizations in York County, including serving in former leadership roles on the board of directors for the Early Learning Partnership of York County, and the York County Community Foundation. Elizabeth is a Liberty Fellow and a Riley Fellow, and the co-founder of the Annual Thanksgiving Day Charity 5k Run/Walk in historic York, benefiting several local non-profits. She also serves on the York County Natural Gas Authority Board of Directors.
Elizabeth is a graduate of the College of Charleston and earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Science in sociology. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Elizabeth is an Elder at First Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill. She is a York County native and lives in Rock Hill with her two daughters, Mary Alice and Lettie, and husband, Henry. She loves running, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
