Ben Sullivan, is a native of Pageland, South Carolina but has called Rock Hill home since he attended Winthrop University in 1997.

While growing up, Ben, was a two sport athlete for Central High School. Sullivan continued his baseball career at Winthrop University’s under the  guidance of former coach Joe Hudak and current coach Mike McGuire. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Winthrop in 2001.

From 2001 – 2007 Sullivan served as VP of Sales at Metal Recycling Services (MRS) out of Monroe, North Carolina and in 2001 where he was instrumental in the growth of a start up who even tually sold to Nucor Steel (NUE) in 2008. In 2007, Sullivan co-founded Coastal Recycling, Inc (CR) where he served as President. He also joined Allied Metal Recycling, LLC (AMR) as a Director in 2009 and helped guide the company’s growth from one location with 12 employees to 8 locations with 86 employees. He soon developed the Scrap Partners concept and began to implement the plan to merge CR and AMR, then expand operations into the Carolinas and Tennessee. His vision decentralizes management to allow multiple locations to operate as independent business units, thus reducing layers of management. He later adopted the concept as the company name, Scrap Partners, LLC.

The Sullivan family loves baseball and Ben has coached with Showcase Baseball Academy (SBA) baseball teams for the past 5 years. Sullivan is currently a member of St. John’s United Methodist. In his free time he likes spending time with family, going to the beach and cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. Ben and Stacie live in Rock Hill and are the parents of Cooper and the late Marlie Dru.
